CONWAY, S.C. — Tonight, Atlantic Collegiate Academy honors 15 seniors who took a chance on a brand-new school and a new head coach. This historic group of seniors holds a unique distinction in Armada history, standing as the very first class to complete all four years of high school at Atlantic Collegiate Academy. Together, they helped shape the foundation of this program, developing it from a startup organization into a legitimate, competitive varsity program locking horns with powerhouse schools under the Friday night lights.
Over the last four years, this senior group has authored a resume packed with program firsts:
-
2023: In their inaugural campaign, the Armada posted a 5-3 record during their first year as a school, securing the program's first-ever varsity victory and claiming a dominant 28-0 shutout over Thornwell Charter School.
-
2024: Playing their first full varsity schedule, ACA earned its first-ever region victory in emphatic fashion, shutting out Marion High School 27-0.
-
2025: The Armada delivered their best season to date, finishing 4-2 in region play to capture second place in the region. The team put together multiple win streaks winning two and three in a row, and taking five out of six games during a blistering midseason stretch. That run culminated in ACA hosting and winning the school's first-ever SCHSL playoff football game.
-
2026: Showing characteristic resilience while making the jump from Class 2A to Class 3A, the Armada have already clinched a postseason berth in this year's SCHSL playoffs.
None of these milestones would have been possible without the dedication, toughness, and leadership of these 15 seniors:
The entire Armada family is deeply grateful to be a part of your story and for everything you have poured into this school and football program. We wish you nothing but the best in all of your future endeavors.
