Atlantic Collegiate Academy will hold an athletic "Recruiting Seminar" for all ACA students and their families on October 29 at 5:30 p.m. in the ACA Gym.
This seminar is open to ALL ACA students who want to explore participating in athletics at the collegiate level. Athletics Director William Payne will be hosting the event. Please email him at wpayne@acaarmada.org of you plan to attend.Â
Due to the Tropical Storm last week, all of the Armada Athletics events were canceled over the weekend and there have been no make-up dates announced as of yet. When or if these events are rescheduled, we will have an update here for everyone. It does not appear, however, as if football or golf will have makeup dates for those contests.Â
This Week's Athletics Schedule
- Volleyball: Varsity at Marion High School on October 3 at 6:30 p.m.Â
- Football: at Marion High School on October 4 at 7:30 pm.Â
- Girls Tennis: at Marion High School on October 17 at 5:30 p.m.
- Girls Golf: at Georgetown High School on October 8 at Wedgefield Plantation at 4 p.m.                                    Â
Boys Basketball will hold tryouts for the varsity and junior varsity squads on November 4-5 in the ACA Gym from 4:30-6:30 p.m. both days. You
MUST attend tryouts to make the team. There be no makeup dates for these tryouts. There will only be two teams this year - varsity and junior varsity - so attendance is extremely important due to the large number of expected students who want to try out. If you have any questions, please contact AD Payne.Â
If you are interested in cross country and have not contacted Coach Payne yet about running with the club, please do so as soon as possible. We will be exploring entering various 5K events in the area and need an accurate number of participants. We will close new members for the fall season on October 16.Â
REMINDER: ALL ACA ATHLETES ARE REQUIRED TO PAY A $75 SPORTS FEE PRIOR TO PLAYING IN AN OFFICIAL CONTEST. PLEASE ASK YOUR COACH IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.Â
If you are an ACA student-athlete, or hope to become one this year, and you haven't completed our online biographical questionnaire, please do so as soon as possible. If you completed the form last year, you DO NOT need to complete it again unless there have been changes that you want to include.
THIS IS NOT OPTIONAL AND IS GOING TO BE REQUIRED GOING FORWARD.
