Heartfelt Thanks for Generous Donations of School Supplies

Conway, SC – On behalf of Atlantic Collegiate Academy, I extend our deepest gratitude to the Kroger Team for its generous donation of school supplies to our faculty and staff. Thankful is truly an understatement. Your support has lifted spirits across our campus and equipped our educators with essential materials that directly benefit our students.

As a local grocer and community partner, Kroger's investment in our classrooms makes an immediate and meaningful impact. Your contribution helps our teachers create engaging learning environments, reduces out-of-pocket costs for instructional materials, and ensures students have the tools they need to succeed. The excitement among our faculty and staff was palpable, your kindness reminded us that our community stands with us in this important work.

We are honored to recognize Kroger publicly for this support. Thank you again for your generosity and for believing in the power of education in Myrtle Beach. We are sincerely grateful.

Nevaeh LeonardWe are spotlighting Nevaeh Leonard in the Armada Mission Update. She is a senior who has decided to attend Wingate University. She applied, got accepted, and agreed to receive an annual scholarship of $30K towards receiving her Bachelor Degree in Elementary education.  ACA is sooo proud of you Nevaeh! We know that you will do well at Wingate and will make us proud just knowing that you have selected the teaching profession!

Culture Club Oktoberfest

On Thursday, September 18, the Culture Club held Oktoberfest on the ACA campus and it was a smash hit. The club completely sold out of food. Stay tuned to information on next month's exciting event. Pictures from Oktoberfest can be found HERE.

Broadcasting Club

It is exciting times for the Broadcasting club at ACA!

Sean PeistrupLast year, Mr. Peistrup came up with the idea of starting a Broadcasting Club. It was formed to add to the existing Journalism Club run by Ms. Hodges. The initial vision of the Broadcasting Club at ACA was to have a student-led club taking video of sporting events at ACA while providing play-by-play analysis to enhance school spirit and exposure of our teams. The club started with two members last year; one camera person and one play-by-play announcer. They worked one volleyball game, the Homecoming football game and a few basketball games last year. The ultimate goal is to cover every sporting event ACA is involved in and be able to stream it live so that parents, friends, and loved ones that cannot attend the games can still experience the "Armada Magic"

This year, the club has grown to 10 members and has already done a number of volleyball games and will be doing both home football games. While 10 members have been a solid growth to the club, we need more. Students do not need to necessarily have to be in front of the camera. We need camera operators, editors, content writers, and interviewers as well as play-by-play announcers.

If you want to learn more about the club, please reach out to Mr. Peistrup at speistrup@acaarmada.org or see him between 10-11:15 a.m. or 2-2:45 p.m. in Room 128.

Informational Fair

Atlantic Collegiate Academy will be holding an in-person Public Charter School Information Fair on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on campus. Special Olympics

On behalf of Atlantic Collegiate Academy, we would like to thank everyone involved with the Special Olympics state games for the wonderful opportunity our students, families, faculty, and staff had to participate. We are deeply grateful.

Your commitment to being inclusive, courageous and joyful was clear throughout. Our students were able to experience pride in their competitive spirit, the power of teamwork and the individuality of everyone. Everyone including families, faculty and staff were impacted by the sportsmanship and spirit of the Special Olympics – and we left inspired and unified!

Thanks for forming an environment that is safe, welcoming and empowering for every athlete. We look forward to a continuous partnering alongside supporting your mission in future events.

Here are some great photos from the day.

Clear Pond Fall Festival

Here is another great opportunity for ACA students to earn Community Service hours. On Saturday, September 27, Clear Pond will host its annual Fall Festival. Clear Pond Myrtle Beach is part of the Carolina Forest Community, which is home to many ACA students.

The Fall Festival will be held at the Clear Pond Amenity Center from 12 until 4 p.m. and will include live music, food trucks, vendor booths, activities for kids and pumpkin picking. There are expected to be more than 70 different crafters and vendors at the event.

Volunteers will work with those vendors at the drop-off point and assist with carrying supplies, setting up tents and break-down at the end of the event. To volunteer for this event, contact Jenna Jordan, a proud ACA parent, at 732-814-2210.
