Conway, SC – It is hard to believe how quickly the summer is racing past. It seems as if it was just yesterday that we were sending the class of 2025 out into the world and now we are growing ever closer to welcoming the class of 2029 into Atlantic Collegiate Academy as our largest freshman class.
Our new freshmen will be a part of our first year with an enrollment at capacity for our school. It was a long road to get here, but it is rewarding for so many who have been in involved with our school from the earliest days.
If you are still interested in having your student enrolled at ACA for the coming year, don't give up! Every school suffers a little attrition in enrollment early in the school year so, if you or your student is interested, please make sure you have applied and been placed on our waiting list. The junior class is especially full but get on the waiting list if you are a rising junior and want to attend ACA.
As the Armada is getting ready to set sail into the 2025-26 school year, we have several new faculty members who have joined the staff. We'll be providing more information on each of our new teachers as we get closer to the start of school, but here is a list. I am excited to welcome each of these fine educators.
- Danielle Ceppetelli – High School Guidance Counselor
- Kelly Jones – Accountability Counselor and Scheduling Coordinator
- Brad Warren – Not new, but in a new role as Dual Enrollment Coordinator
- Tanja Warren – Dual Enrollment Administrator and Administrative Assistant
- Chris Shucoski – Information Technology and 504 Coordinator
- Justin Stack – Student Concern Specialist
We will have information on other new staff members in the coming days. Of special note, all open positions for the 2025-26 school year have been filled.
In addition to filling the full-time roles, Stephanie Haynes has been contracted to work with our New Teacher Development program this year. Ms. Haynes has been a part of the ACA family since the start and has also worked with students and teachers at both Oceanside Collegiate Academy and Legion Collegiate Academy while working with Pinnacle Charter Academies.
Some updates on our schedule moving forward:
- We will resume family tours at ACA on September 5 at 1 p.m. Tours will be conducted each Friday at 1 p.m. unless otherwise announced.
- We will also resume Parent Forums for potential parents and Students on September 2 at 5:30 p.m. Parent Forums are schedule to be held the first Tuesday of each month.
- The first day for students to be in class is August 11.
If you are an adult who is interested in going back to school, even if you have a degree and are thinking about getting an advanced degree, representatives from Grand Canyon University will be on campus from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, August 15. Current faculty and staff can meet with the GCU reps during their planning period. The folks from GCU will be set up in the Faculty Conference Center and there will be snacks available!
