Charleston, SC – The Atlantic Collegiate Academy girl's golf team turned in its second strong performance of the fall season on Monday by posting a seventh-place finish in the stacked Charleston Classic Invitational at RiverTowne Country Club.
The Armada finished the event with a team score of 375 and had three individual players earn top 25 finishes.

Zach Hawkinberry said. "The course played hard with wet fairways and fast greens. Along with the heat building throughout the day, it was a challenge."
Top tournament honors went to Ashley Ridge with a 39-over par score of 327, which was three shots better than second place Hilton Head Island. Wando (+49), Trinity Collegiate (+59) and Hilton Head Prep (+64) rounded out the top five teams. Defending tournament champion May River edged ACA for sixth place by just three shots.
Sophomore
Bella Stroupe led the way for the Armada, finishing tied for seventh with a score of seven over par 79. Lina Polteraitis from Trinity Collegiate was the only player in the field to finish under par, winning medalist honors with a two-under par score of 70.

th with a 14-over par score of 86 followed by Katelyn Daly in 22

Emily Gerrets finished further back in the 101-player field.
After two tournaments to open the fall, the Armada will play its first head-to-head match on Tuesday, September 9, at 4 p.m. when they host Georgetown for a nine-hole event at Wild Wing Golf Club in Conway.
