Conway, SC – The Atlantic Collegiate Academy volleyball team ran its unbeaten streak in Region 7-AA play to six games on Tuesday night with a straight set victory over Kingstree High at "The Flight Deck".
The Armada improved to 16-7-3 overall with the victory over the Blazers. ACA dominated the opening set 25-6 before taking wins of 25-10 and 25-7 in the second and third sets.
Junior
Kathryn Delea was the standout performer in the match for ACA.
"Katy set the tone for the match with 11 aces in the first set," ACA coach
Larry Church said. "She finished the match with 18 aces."
The Armada junior varsity had an equally easy time in their match, downing Kingstree 25-4 and 25-6 to win their match, improving to 5-1 on the year.
Freshman
Halle Bain hand a standout performance for ACA, recording six service aces to go along with four digs.
Both Armada squads will be back in action tonight at home in region play when they host Mullins High. The JV match is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. with the varsity tilt scheduled for 7 p.m.
