"I feel like I played well today," Godfree said. "I was able to win all my matches by pretty good margin playing against some of the best players in the state. It makes me feel good going into tomorrow. Everyone here is here for a reason and all have a similar goal in mind. I look forward to competing and playing some more good matches tomorrow."
Each of the top four seeded players in the tournament advanced to play in the semifinals on Tuesday morning. Godfree will face No. 4 see Lauren Harrelson from Belton-Honea Path in one semifinal while No. 2 seed Kate Johnson from Oceanside Collegiate will play No. 3 seed Caroline Bruner from Christ Church Episcopal School.
