Conway, SC - Due to unforeseen change of schedule, the final inspection date at our new school on Bear Bluff Road has been pushed back from July 25 to August 7. This delay occurred because of scheduling issues with Office of School Facilities and the State Fire Marshal.
 
As you can see on Coach William Payne's Facebook Live tour of the new school, the building is almost finished. We will still be able to move in all our new furniture and equipment beginning July 29, but no faculty or students will be allowed into the building until August 8, after the inspection.
 
We are working extremely hard at Beach Church through August 7 to get everything ready for the start of the new school year. We will move into our new building on August 8 and will likely experience some time when our school phones will be down as we transition into our new home.
 
Because of the unexpected delay, we have moved our Onboarding Day to Friday, August 9, and we will be open for the first day of school on Monday, August 12. The onboarding schedule will remain the same as was originally planned for August 7:
 

• SENIORS (12th Grade) – 10-11 a.m.
• JUNIORS (11th Grade) – 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
• SOPHOMORES (10th Grade) – 2-4 p.m.
• FRESHMEN (9th Grade) – 4-6 p.m.

 
As far as our fall athletics teams are concerned, volleyball will be hosting tryouts and practices at the GSJ Facility in Conway. Coach Larry Church will be reaching out with more information to those who are trying out for volleyball.
 
Coach Antoine Rivens and the football team will be allowed to have football practice, beginning August 1, on our practice field behind the new school, but no student, coach or staff member will be allowed into the new building. We will provide porta pots by the field as needed.
 
We will also be starting our weekly Armada Mission Updates next Monday. Please keep an eye out for more information via this weekly email. For some reason if you do not get the Armada Mission Update in your email please let us know and we will make sure you are on our email list.
