Brandon Alston, a native of Murrells Inlet, SC, joined the Atlantic Collegiate Academy coaching staff for the 2024-25 season as an assistant basketball coach.
No stranger to South Carolina high school basketball, Alston attended Socastee High in Myrtle Beach where he played both basketball and football. From there he went on to attend Allen University.
Allen is a successful AAU coach, having won six tournament titles and had four runner-up finishes. He coaches kids camps for players in third to fifth grade and trains kids of all ages. In addition to coaching, he owns Ants Unloading, a moving company.
He and his wife, JoJo, have four kids - Brandon (11), Kobe (10), Gavin (8) and Tison (4). His parents still live in Murrels Inlet where his mother and aunt run a cleaning business, and he has two brothers (Antwon and Christopher) and two sisters (Ikey and Quita).
