Justin Stack returns to Atlantic Collegiate Academy for his second year as Assistant Volleyball Coach for the varsity squad and head coach for the junior varsity team. He has also been added to the ACA staff as a Student Concern Specialist for the 2025-26 school year.

A New York City native who grew up in Manhattan, Stack is the son of Richard and Anh Stack who both work in photography, his father as a photo journalist and his mother as a photo editor.

Stack attended Bayard Rustin High School for the Humanities where he was a member of the track, boys volleyball and basketball teams. After high school he attended Hunter College in New York where he majored in English.

Stack started his volleyball career by working as a camp counselor at numerous colleges, including Columbia University, Baruch College, the University of San Diego, Princeton as well as at Coastal Carolina University. He has served as the Tournament Director for the New York City Juniors Club since 2011 and has held assistant coaching jobs at Baruch College, Columbia and Hofstra.

Stack is a SAVL and USAV certified referee and has served as the head coach for the Grand Strand Juniors 14U National Team as well as the Grand Strand Beach Volleyball team.

He became the head coach of the men's volleyball team at Baruch College in 2002, a position he held through 2007, while also serving as a adjunct professor in the CAPS Program. He moved on to become Associate Head Coach for both men's and women's volleyball at Hunter College in 2007 and head coach at Monroe College in 2009.

Stack moved to Conway, SC in 2015, working as a teacher and tutor in the AVID program at Conway High while also working as a substitute teacher across Horry County. 

He returned to college coaching in 2016 when he was named head coach for the new Beach Volleyball program at Coastal Carolina University while also serving as Director of Operations for the indoor program. 

Since 2017 Stack has served as an after school teacher and counselor at Trinity in Surfside Beach, and has also worked as their Y2K Summer Camp Director. He began coaching boys and girls volleyball in the Grand Strand Juniors Program in 2018 and, since 2015, has worked as a Behavioral Interventionist for the Justince Works Youth Care Program in Conway.

Stack has worked as a substitute teacher in Economics and English Language Arts. 

Stack has three children - Logan (15), Zoey (13) and Holly (7).
