Erik Miller returned to the Pinnacle Charter Academies family in September of 2023 as Director of Finance after previously working with Pinnacle as Director of Operations from 2019-21.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Miller attended high school in New Berlin, Wisc., where he was a competitive swimmer, earning multiple conference titles while setting conference records and qualifying for the state championship three times. He also competed in golf and tennis and graduated in the top 10 percent of his class.
Miller went on to the University of Wisconsin where he earned an undergraduate degree in Real Estate & Urban Land Economics in 2003.Â
He moved to Charlotte, NC, in 2008 to take a position with Wells Forgo as a Lease Management Manager. In 2012 he was promoted to Operational Risk and Compliance Manager.
While working at Wells Fargo, Miller was also taking graduate courses at the University of Nebraska, completing his MBA with a concentration on non-profits in 2018.
Miller's wife, Sarah, is a native of Green Bay, Wisc., and works as the Chief Auditor for a large international bank. She is also a direct descendent of former U.S. President Grover Cleveland. The couple resides in Tampa, Fla., and has two children, a son (15) and a daughter (12), who are both enrolled in charter schools.
Miller is a big fan of Badgers football and basketball, enjoys spending time with his family, including a pair of dogs, and also plays lead guitar in a local cover band.
